This Scoping Study for Cambodia’s Roadmap for SCP discusses a range of existing and new initiatives that can accelerate SCP implementation in Cambodia. Cambodia’s National Strategic Development Plan (2019-2023) commits to “promoting resource efficiency and sustainability by implementing the principle of SCP.” This scoping study explores opportunities for SCP in Cambodia’s economy and society, particularly through partnerships with the public and private sectors. It also recommends SCP actions that are aligned to Cambodia’s Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plan (2021), its National Strategic Plan on Green Growth (2013-2030) and supports implementation of Cambodia’s Sustainable Development Goals (C-SDGs), and its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). The scoping study has been developed under the direction of the General Secretariat for the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD), in consultation with the NCSD’s Technical Working Group (TWG) on SCP.
