This Roadmap consolidates the opinions of a wide range of participants and stakeholders. Its purpose is to create the conditions for supporting the decarbonization process in Uzbekistan, by introducing renewable energy sources (RES) and energy efficiency (EE) technologies in the country's economy, increasing the consumption of clean energy from RES sources and reducing the use of carbon resources for energy production, which will contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Furthermore, the Roadmap is a development plan that defines the goals and desired outcome for decarbonization, expanding the use of renewable energy and increasing energy efficiency in Uzbekistan in the long term (until 2030) and includes the main steps or stages necessary to achieve it.
