On 2nd December, the EU SWITCH-Asia Prevent Plastics proudly launched REF-Track - a digital Resource Efficiency Tracker platform developed for SMEs in Myanmar to monitor their resources, particularly their waste output. The initiative was developed in collaboration with project partner STENUM Asia with the objective to improve resource efficiency monitoring and optimizing for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). The launch event was attended by over eighty MSMEs interested in learning about the tool and its application. The REF-Track Resource Efficiency Workshop provided knowledge and tools to enhance resource efficiency for MSMEs. Rajat Batra, Chief Executive Officer of STENUM Asia, shared insights on the benefits of resource use monitoring. Vikas Singh, Associate Principal of STENUM Asia, introduced the functionalities of the REF-Track platform. The platform supports monthly resource input and production tracking for up to five years, enabling MSMEs to improve their production flow and reporting.
